Free! 16 Free Organic Chemistry Experiments from Vernier

By: Elaine Nam, Ph.D, Melissa Hill, Ph.D, and Jack Randall

Below you will find links to 16 organic chemistry labs. These are free downloads, each of which includes the following:

  • A complete student lab handout
  • Instructor Information, including reagent preparation and tips for instructors and teaching assistants.
  • Safety Information for reagents used in the experiments.
  • Sample data.
  • Sample graphs of data collected using our Logger Pro (Windows or Mac) or LabQuest App data-acquisition software.
  • Each experiment is a Microsoft Word file. This means that you can edit what we have written to match the styles you use in your organic chemistry lab manuals. These files can also be useful as templates in structuring your own labs for use with Vernier sensors.

Using the chart below, you can easily see which Vernier sensors and analytical tools are used with each experiment.
