QTC Test Rig

A simple but elegant system for studying the new Quantum Tunnelling Composite polymer, QTC. QTC is a flexible conductive polymer with a resistance which varies with compressive force over the range of many megohms to just tens of ohms. Place the sample on the metal plate and apply a load to the top plate while monitoring the resistance in the usual way. The open construction allows for students to vary the contact profile of the material and carry out a variety of alternative approaches. Full instructions included.
