Human Physiology and Physical Education (P.E)
Measure your heart rate, grip strength, EKG tracings and much more.
The Vernier Go Wireless Heart Rate is ideal for continuously monitoring heart rate before, during, and after exercise or while a person is stationary. Data are wirelessly transmitted to iPad, LabQuest 2, or other mobile devices that are Bluetooth® Smart Ready. It is simple and easy to use, displays live heart rate readouts before data collection, and is easy to clean and share between students.

This is a non-invasive sensor designed to measure human blood pressure. It measures systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure utilizing the oscillometric technique. Pulse rate is also reported.
£175.00 ex VAT | £210.00 Inc VAT Add to basket The EKG Sensor measures electrical signals produced during muscle contractions, and can be used to make standard 3-lead EKG tracings or surface EMG recordings.
The EKG Sensor measures electrical signals produced by the heart. It uses three disposable electrodes. An EKG graph is displayed, demonstrating to students the contraction and repolarization of the heart's chambers. A package of 100 disposable electrodes is included with the sensor.
£253.00 ex VAT | £303.60 Inc VAT Add to basket The Goniometer measures the angle of a joint, such as the knee or elbow. Use it to analyze the range of motion of a limb during different types of physical activity.
£249.00 ex VAT | £298.80 Inc VAT Add to basket Our strain-gauge based isometric Hand Dynamometer can be used to measure grip strength, pinch strength, and to perform muscle fatigue studies. Use the hand dynamometer with other sensors (e.g., EKG Sensor) to study muscular health and activity
£177.00 ex VAT | £212.40 Inc VAT Add to basket Our Hand-Grip Heart Rate Monitor is ideal for determining a person's heart rate while mobile or stationary. With this sensor, heart rate can be monitored during, or after, exercise. The sensor consists of wireless hand grips and a receiver module that plugs into any of our data-collection devices. The hand grips sense the electrical signals generated by the heart. For each pulse detected, a signal is transmitted to the receiver module, and the individual's pulse rate is calculated.

£186.00 ex VAT | £223.20 Inc VAT Add to basket The O2 Gas Sensor can be used to monitor gaseous oxygen levels in a variety of biology and chemistry experiments. The sensor is intended for measuring gaseous, not aqueous, O2 concentration.
£301.00 ex VAT | £361.20 Inc VAT Add to basket The Respiration Monitor Belt is used with the Gas Pressure Sensor to measure human respiration. Simply strap the belt around the chest and pump air into the belt with the hand bulb, and monitor the pressure associated with the expansion and contraction of the chest during breathing.
£94.00 ex VAT | £112.80 Inc VAT Add to basket The Spirometer is designed to make human respiratory measurements at rest and during moderate activity. Use it to perform a variety of experiments related to air flow and lung volume. The removable flow head (22 mm ID/30 mm OD) makes it easy to clean and sterilise.
